The Air from the smoke helps create a vacuum like effect causing the egg to be sucked in.

Nice, but what i really need to do is get a golf ball through a garden hose.

its actually oxygen being sucked out of the bottle by the burning matches that creates the vacuum

how do you get the poor egg out?

This trick would only be cool if it was a glass bottle. Otherwise you can just squeeze the sides of the bottle, place the egg on top and let go. Voila, one egg in a bottle without the icky ashes.

Yeah I did it at school too, and I remember how it’s done! I dont remember the important lessons, only ool stuff like this!

I used to do this trick with a slightly-filled water balloon. The matches consume the oxygen, which creates a vacuum, sucking the object in. To get it out, put a straw in the bottle, turn it upside down, and pull. Obviously, you can’t really pull on an egg, which is why I did it with the water balloon.

Soak the raw egg in vinegar overnight and it’s like a flexible ball you can bounce it or do this magical trick, wooo hoo. your david blane.

To get the egg out, hold the bottle upside down and blow as hard as you can into the bottle. The pressure increase forces the egg out.

duh! when you heat a bottle that is plastic it expands so itwill lwt the egg in

you are right carina! heating the bottle will do the job of getting the egg insidedk

If I remember correctly, the matches consume the oxygen, causing them to burn out. Then the air in the bottle cools down, and the absolute pressure in the bottle is reduced. The pressure differential causes the egg to be sucked in.
